The women’s entrepreneurship programme of the University of Santiago de Compostela (Woman Emprende) is a network which aim is to develop, within the UNIEMPRENDE programme, a working platform to enhance the creation of enterprises in universities and to achieve that the participation of women corresponds with their participation rate at university. Its objective consists in ensuring that the percentage of entrepreneurial women is similar to the percentage of women at university. Therefore it is a transversal invigoration programme of female university entrepreneurship.
The platform Woman Emprende is intended for analysis, reflection and discussion in order to study the imbalance that appears in the entrepreneurship. Its main aim consists in boosting higher female entrepreneurship rates within the frame of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
It is also a place where you can reflect on subjects related to technological-based entrepreneurship promoted by women. It has its own methodology which comprehends the procedures that can be used in our universities in order to offer assistance to entrepreneurship with gender perspective (Innovatia 8.3).
The Woman Emprende team is comprised of a group of qualified professionals with experience in the field of university entrepreneurship who can offer advice from the moment when the idea arises to the setting up, the feasibility study and the business plan.
